Azimut 72 is everything you could ask of an Azimut. Italian-made excellence seduces you not only with its contours and taste, but also with the innovation that puts carbon fibre to work in achieving ultimate comfort. The big windows, low-profile gunwales and immense flybridge offer a 360-degree experience of the sea and the light. The sun-pad area in the bow is a corner of paradise. A yielding expanse of cushions on which to soak up the sun’s warmth after a plunge in the sea or to relax in the shade of the bimini. More space, more volume and a huge flybridge close to 40 m2 in size are the exceptional features coded in the DNA of Azimut 72 and made possible by the all-carbon superstructure. This is the place to spend wonderful moments dining at sea or enjoying breathtaking sunsets. And when cruising, the dining table in the dinette next to the helm station becomes a sunbathing area caressed by the refreshing sea breeze. The main deck on Azimut 72 is decorated with sand oak and gloss ebony, or alternatively dark oak and gloss frisé sycamore. The carbon fibre superstructure and low-profile gunwales add huge glass surfaces to the generous open space living area.
The owner’s cabin goes overboard when it comes to space, with masses of storage, a private dinette and big cupboards and wardrobes that transform the setting into an impressive suite. The three splendid guest cabins, two with double beds and one with twin singles, all with private bathrooms and plenty of storage space. The main deck offers full control without sacrificing comfort, with two sporty helm seats and a forward-facing bench next to the helm station. The ultimate expression of the sophisticated, sporty design is the carbon windshield mullion, which reveals all the technology and innovation that lies at the heart of Azimut 72.

Standart specification

Structure and shape of hull

The structural design complies with standard EN-ISO 12215. The hull, the deck and part of the flybridge are made with the infusion technique and assembled using structural adhesives purposely designed for nautical applications. This construction technology allows a reduction in weight, at the same time improving the mechanical performance and comfort. The reinforcement fabrics are in fiberglass with a multiaxis, one-direction configuration and PVC foam inserts.

For hull is laminated with resins and vinylester mastics that are extremely effective at preventing osmosis and blistering, thanks to their intrinsic chemical and mechanical properties. Thanks to this configuration in fact, Azimut offers a 5-year warranty against osmosis. Isophthalic and vinylester resins were used for the superstructures, while the internal structures are coated in isophthalic and ortophthalic resins suitable for nautical use. The bulkheads and internal divisions are made of marine plywood and PVC sandwich. Semi-planing hull for comfortable, efficient navigation in all seagoing conditions that can be classed as “not calm”, at low and average speeds up to 24 knots.
